American Flag and Recovery Flag

I am an American artist and I created the Recovery Flag.   I also wrote and produced the song: "I M Recovering" for you!   (Listen above)
Sadly, we've had too many tragic incidents with mass casualties, and we lowered the American flag out of respect.  I subsequently wondered if lowering the American flag to half-mast on too many occasions might erode the symbolic value of lowering the flag.  That's when I was thunderstruck with the idea of creating a specific flag or art work to acknowledge and convey respect and honor to all victims.  That idea evolved into the Recovery Flag art design.  Victimization relates to physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual pain and suffering.    Additionally, the Flag also represents the plight of personal recovery from life's challenges including addictions, health, loss of a loved one -- a myriad of personal challenges.  
Over the years, I hope the Recovery Flag becomes an engine for commemoration, discovery, and healing.
